one of my favorite taco spots! been here a couple times and every time, the line moves very quickly + amazing tacos + salsa bar with a bunch of other toppings like picked onion, radishes, etc + free potatoes upon request - nowhere to sit - can get busy/ no parking available on their lot

Had to come back and write an updated review! This place has become my favorite go to place for tacos. There's plenty of available parking, and the staff are really quick. They also have menu of meats that they offer which makes it really easy to decide what to get. My favorites are Lengua and Al Pastor. You can grab some charred onions and a hot potato. The sauces and toppings are always fully stocked, fresh, and delicious. Pick up an aqua Fresca as well, I always get the horchata!

Easiest 5/5. Came late on a Friday night after landing in LAX, and it hit the spot. Large parking lot, although it gets packed. Service is so efficient; walk up to the guys and tell them what you want, make it to the end of the line for a potato, then pay (cash and card accepted!). 16 for our 7 tacos, goddamn what a steal compared to the Bay Area. There's a separate salsa + condiments bar, including grilled onions & peppers (!!), which was so great for loading up my tacos. Al pastor was def the best, highly recommend. Cabeza was delicious but don't forget the lime to cut some of the fattiness. Asada was not bad, but not the star in comparison to the Al pastor. Can't wait to be back (maybe tomorrow?!)

Had a chance to come by here yesterday while visiting a friend in East LA. Very conveniently located in a parking lot down the street from Little Tokyo, making it not so difficult to find. These were some really good tacos. They are two dollars each one and they give you a fair amount of meat for each one and they are also a pretty good size. The service is also incredibly quick since they are constantly cooking more meat, you never really have to wait very long. Although I went on a Monday at around 6 pm so maybe other days it's a lot busier, who knows? I also really liked how they give out these free boiled potatoes. They are extremely tender and taste really good for some reason. After paying for your food, they have a section for the sauce, condiments and vegetable. I also liked the variety of sauces they had as well as the sides; they had grilled peppers, pickled onions, onions and cilantro and limes too. Will definitely come back here next time I'm in LA and want cheap and good Mexican food!

My absolutely favorite tacos EVER. I have been coming to Avenue 26 since my high school days.. before it blew up back in like 2016. Taco prices went up since 2016 but still so worth it -- this is one of the places I usually go to after the club or a late night hangout in DTLA xD You usually go and order the amount of tacos you want, then you pay afterwards. I usually get al pastor or cabeza. The meats are always sooo flavorful & juicy -- I literally cannot go to any other taco place LOL. There is a variety of meats to chose from & there's a self serve area for the onions/cilantro/ salsas. My absolute favorite part of this experience is the potato they give you at the end :D I always ask for an extra I loveeee me my potatoes. So happy to see how much Ave. 26 evolved since I was in high school. It truly makes me so happy to see their business grow & flourish -- well deserved with the quality of food they deliver.

I've heard about the legendary Avenue 26 Tacos for a long time and have always wanted to try it. My friends and I went after a Netflix Is A Joke. Fest comedy show nearby at the Regent Theater and it definitely is worth the hype. You go up and order your tacos first and then pay. Afterwards, you can walk to the next station to buy a beverage or skip over to add self-serve onions, cilantro, and salsa of your choice. I love it when places let you pile on the onions and cilantro yourself because your girl LOOOOVES extra. My friend got a horchata and shared it with me. It was extra creamy and rich and reminded me of a liquified churro Instagram: @jessgoeat

One of the best taco stands in all of Los Angeles! If you want some delicious tacos, you have to come check out Avenue 26. They have a variety of meats to choose from with your classics like Al Pastor and Asada, but they also have options like Buche and Suadero. They are one of the most popular taco stands in all of LA currently and their setup is quite large. The system they have for ordering is quick and easy and you can with card or cash here. You order drinks separately from the food and they have all your typical toppings that you would want from salsas to lemon and radish. My favorite meats here are the al pastor and the suadero! All the meats they have here are quality and you can see them constantly cooking/cutting the meat and they have grilled onions and fried potatoes that you can add to your plate as well. Most people eat at their cars typically or stand around and eat. It usually gets more packed later into the night as most restaurants in the area will close but they are open until 2am which is great. This is a great place to hang and eat some delicious tacos and I would recommend bringing people here if they are craving street style tacos, you really can't do much better than Avenue 26! Looking forward to coming back again for more tacos!

[ Food ] I had the Al Pastor, Asada, and Lengua taco; all 3 were good and flavorful! It's nice that there's a station where you can scoop your own toppings (chopped onion/cilantro, chili/red onion, and salsas), however, I much prefer an employee with gloves scooping it for us, just for sanitary reasons. [ Service ] There was no line when we arrived so the service was really quick. Everyone seemed nice. [ Parking ] Their parking lot is decent sized; even if it looks full, there's always people going in and out. [ Restroom ] No restrooms.

I found it! They claim they are the original Ave 26 tacos that was off 110 frwy at Figueroa. They seem to be the tasty original place. Can't beat this Street tacos location. Corner of 4th and Alameda with ample parking with all the usual simple Tacos, Burritos, Mulitas. They have your favorites like Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo, lingua. Warm onions and jalapeño peppers with Condiments station also. Come try it out.

Ahh where has these tacos been all of my life? Avenue 26 Tacos is DELICIOUS and surprisingly affordable, at about $2/taco. This is the vision of Mexican street food in California. This location of Avenue 26 is in Little Tokyo, in a fenced parking lot area. They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas, mulitas, and quesa tacos. For the proteins, you can pick from asada, pollo, al pastor, lengua, chorizo, buche, cabeza, and suadero. Amazinggggg selection! It was raining and this place was still packed. There was a line for the tacos and crowds huddling underneath the tents enjoys the tasty hot fresh food. All signs of greatness! My boyfriend ordered 4 tacos: asada, al pastor, cabeza and suadero. I wasn't as hungry so I only got 2 tacos: al pastor and suadero. After the taco line we went up to this guy for potatoes. Apparently these delicious potatoes are cooked in meat juices and fat and they are FREE! Wow. They have sautéed onions, chilis salsas, pickled red onions, onions and cilantro, all the helpings of a glorious tacos. So goooodddd! Definitely no frills, but everyone was happy, smiling, and laughing. I wish I had more space in my stomach to try more. I loved both the al pastor and the suadero, which is a tasty brisket. Next time I want to try their lengua and buche. Still drooling thinking about this meal. I told my boyfriend I would be down to come here for a late night bite anytime!
